Online talk: Finding Gypsy/Traveller Connections in Museum Collections ...

29 February 2024

Starts: 19:30

Finding Gypsy/Traveller Connections in Museum Collections

Online talk by Dr Rhona Ramsay

Organised by The Saltire Society Aberdeen and North East Branch. Contact Ian Russell at ianrussell@abdn.ac.uk for zoom link.

Although many museums contain items linked to Gypsy/Travellers, this connection is often unseen. As a result, Gypsy/Travellers are largely invisible within Scottish museums.
This talk will reveal some of these hidden connections, with a particular focus on objects in or linked to Aberdeen and the North-East.
